Jewel Elaine Fischvogt, 97, of Taylor Road, passed away at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Four Seasons Retirement Community. She was born in Monroe, North Carolina on August 3, 1922 to Thomas P. Belk and Lana Lathan Belk.
She married Norval H. Fischvogt on October 23, 1957.
Jewel was previously employed at Arvin Industries, Indiana Bell and was the owner of Fishvogt Jewelry Store with her husband Norval. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed oil painting and playing bridge.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Four Seasons Chapel with Karen Hargett officiating.
Survivors include her husband Norval Fischvogt; sons, Dr. Kent (Debbie) Fischvogt of Columbus, IN and Mr. Jeffrey (Debbie) Fischvogt of LaJolla, CA; grandchildren, Scott (Angie) Fischvogt, Kirsten (Ian) Russell; great grandchildren, Jackson Fischvogt, Emma Fischvogt, Kate Russell and Luke Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
