Columbus Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department began taking photos of patients during the registration process in an effort to improve patient safety and prevent identity theft.

1995

Following a three-month undercover operation, Columbus Police Department and several other agencies confiscated more than $300,000 in cash, over $10,000 worth of weapons and over $30,000 worth of drugs in what was called one of the largest raids ever conducted in the area.

To promote proper use and discuss the benefits of fluoride, almost 1,500 Bartholomew County fifth graders participated in a classroom “brush-in,” brushing their teeth with raspberry flavored toothpaste under the supervision of the county’s public health dental hygienist, Carol Poe.
