NORTH VERNON – What essentially are film extras will be needed in North Vernon on Sunday.
Jennings County residents of all ages are being urged to show up and appear in a video and still picture intended to re-enact a historic photograph taken nearly 100 years ago.
Images taken by drones, as well as conventional cameras, will become part of a casting/application video for the new Home and Garden Television (HGTV) show titled “Home Town Takeover!”
The show’s premise has crews traveling to a town in need of a face-lift to hear from residents on how they’d like to see their hometown transform.
Then, the television show attempts to make some of those ideas a reality by giving certain buildings a makeover.
Those wising to appear in the video are asked to be in place no later that 3 p.m. Sunday in front of the Brick Restaurant, located on East O&M Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets.
Originally, the photo was going to be taken Saturday, but due to anticipated bad weather, the reenactment was delayed one day.
