Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies arrested two Elizabethtown residents on drug-related charges after a traffic stop in the 9000 block of Friendship Drive.
Deputy Adam Warner made the traffic stop at 11:07 p.m. Saturday, stopping a vehicle driven by Tori Adams, 32, Elizabethtown, deputies said. A passenger was identified as James Perkins, 38, Elizabethtown.
Warner observed a blue digital scale with white residue in plain view inside the vehicle, deputies said. K9 Diesel also alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle, deputies said.
Deputies located marijuana, a syringe and prescription medication (not belonging to either of the individuals in the vehicle), deputies said. Adams also said she had methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia on her person, deputies said.

Contact was made with the owner of the prescription medication who was unaware that the medication had been stolen. Contact was also made with the individual who was registered on the license plate renewal sticker. This person was also unaware that the renewal sticker had been stolen.
Adams was arrested and taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of two counts of theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, legend drug injection devices and driving while suspended with a prior conviction, deputies said. She was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $131,000 bond.
Perkins was arrested on preliminary charges of two out-of-county warrants. Deputies said he has since been transferred to another facility.
