
JONESVILLE, INDIANA
Florence M. “Flo” Voss, 87, a resident of Jonesville, Indiana, passed from this life at 8:31 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Voss was born July 14, 1932, in Brown County, Indiana, the loving daughter of Omer and Hazel Cox Stillabower.
On October 10, 1951, Flo married Donald F. Voss; he preceded her January 30, 2001.
Early in life, Mrs. Voss worked at Arvin Industries and then she was the co-owner and later the sole owner of Flo’s Diner in Walesboro. She did all jobs there is to do in the restaurant business.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jonesville. An avid bowler, Flo was a member of the WIBC, now known as Columbus USBC and she was inducted into the Columbus Bowling Hall of Fame April 18, 2000. She also enjoyed membership in the National Campers and Hikers Association.
Flo always enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sports activities, especially the Saturday morning bowling leagues. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Indiana Hoosiers and traveling to different bowling tournaments.
Mrs. Voss is survived by her children, Debbie (Randy) Clark of Jonesville, Teresa Million (Rick Gearhart) of Columbus and Kevin (Heather) Voss of Columbus; grandchildren, Korry (Lorna) Clark of Columbus, Miranda (Dan) Georges of Tupelo, Mississippi, Clint (Ashley) Million of Columbus, Aden Voss of Columbus and Brody Voss of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Kendrick, Landon, Michaela, Hailey, Nate and Maddie; several nieces and nephews including Michelle Schultz who helped care for Flo.
Mrs. Voss was preceded in death by her father, Omer Stillabower; mother, Hazel Cress; husband, Donald; brothers, Virgil, Roscoe, Orville, Ralph and Ronald Stillabower; and sisters, Evelyn Plummer and Norma Jean Moorman.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jonesville; Pastor Matthew Jung will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Voss will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Jonesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Jonesville.
