For the first time since the 2008 flood closed down Columbus Regional Hospital and after $5.2 million in construction work, the facility’s cafeteria and kitchen reopened in their pre-flood location near the main lobby.

Sixty-five seniors graduated from Hauser Junior Senior High School and 49 students participated in graduation ceremonies at Edinburgh High School.

The new Columbus Post Office at Fourth and Jackson streets, after a two-day inspection by a crew from Washington, was accepted by the federal government and the first phase of moving into the new facility began.
