Local attorney Terry Coriden and Bill Russell, owner of C&R Realty Investment, purchased the former Columbus City Hall at 445 Fifth St., with plans to renovate the building into apartments upstairs, a conference center and at least one business office downstairs.

Fifteen residents from eight mobile homes at Candlelight Village were evacuated after a gas line was ruptured by a backhoe at a nearby construction site.

Beekeeper Charles Lowe of Columbus lured two large swarms of honey bees into new wooden hives for safe removal after they were found by crews demolishing a house at Second and Brown as part of the downtown redevelopment project.
