Columbus North and Columbus East will meet in the semifinals of the Whiteland girls soccer sectional.
The Class 3A No. 8 Bull Dogs and Olympians will play in the second semifinal at around 7 p.m. Oct. 8. Winners of the Oct. 6 Greenwood-Whiteland and Center Grove-Franklin first round games will play in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. Oct. 8.
The final will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 10. All games will be played at Break-O-Day Elementary.
Meanwhile, the North and East boys also could meet in a semifinal at Seymour at around 7 p.m. Oct. 7. The Bull Dogs will play Jennings County at 5 p.m., followed by the Olympians vs. New Albany at around 7 p.m. in the first round on Oct. 6. The final will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 10.
In Class A, the Hauser boys will play the winner of Oldenburg Academy and Morristown in the semifinals at Southwestern (Shelby), and Trinity Lutheran will meet Austin in the first round of the Trinity Sectional. In 2A, Brown County will face Owen Valley in the first round of the Monrovia Sectional.
On the girls side, in 3A, Jennings County drew a bye and will play New Albany in the semifinals of the Floyd Central Sectional. Brown County will meet Edgewood in the first round of the 2A Edgewood Sectional. In Class A, Trinity will face Austin in the semifinals of the Providence Sectional.
All girls sectional finals are scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 10, and the boys finals are set for 7 p.m. Oct. 10.
Regional semifinals and finals will be Oct. 17. The Seymour boys sectional winner will play in the Seymour Regional, and the Whiteland girls sectional winner will play in the Bloomington South Regional.
Semistate action is Oct. 24 at Seymour or Evansville North. The state finals are Oct. 30-31 at Fishers High School.
