COLUMBUS, Ind. — The COVID-19 Community Task Force’s latest community spread report shows that while most indicators are in the green, per capita positive rate is back in the moderate spread category.
The COVID-19 dashboard indicators are intended to guide Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. on decisions about continuing in-school learning or moving to virtual options.
Whether or not in-person learning continues at BCSC depends on whether certain COVID-19 data indicates that the school system is in a “minimal,” “moderate” or “substantial” spread category. Roberts has said in the past that an overall designation of substantial spread would result in a move to eLearning.
On Monday, the task force reported the following indicators:
- Per capita positive rate is 5.6 and increasing (as of Sept. 27)
- Percent positive test rate is 3.6 and decreasing (as of Sept. 23)
- Test turnaround time is 2.9 days (as of Sept. 22)
- There is one COVID hospitalization (as of Sept. 27)
Percent positive test rate, test turnaround time and hospitalizations are in the minimal spread category. If test turnaround time rises to three to five days, it will be in the moderate spread category.
