Today marks the beginning of Community Kindness Week with a chance to support various local causes by making simple donations of needed items, rain or shine. Community residents may participate from 6 to 8 p.m. each night under the marquee of the Crump Theatre at 425 Third St.
Those causes are:
- Monday: donated toys for Firemen’s Cheer Fund.
- Tuesday: donated toothbrushes and toothpaste for Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center as part of a senior project.
- Wednesday: donated school supplies for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation.
- Thursday: donated toiletries for Turning Point Domestic Violence Services.
