INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 7,793 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 375,019 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 5,910 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 78 from the previous day. Another 297 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.
To date, 2,292,178 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,272,182 on Friday. A total of 4,525,760 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
Bartholomew County reported 4,006 positive tests (up 90) with 68 deaths (up two) on Saturday.
Surrounding counties reported:
Jackson County: 2,773 positive cases (up 56) with 38 deaths (no change).
Jennings County: 1,137 positive cases (up 41) with 18 deaths (up one).
Decatur County: 1,526 positive cases (up 30) with 46 deaths (no change).
Shelby County: 2,302 positive cases (up 61) with 62 deaths (no change).
Johnson County: 8,127 positive cases (up 183) with 179 deaths (up one).
Brown County: 451 positive cases (up eight) with six deaths (no change).

The testing site in Columbus is located in FairOaks Mall at the former JC Penney location.
The Bartholomew Health Department and Windrose Health Network is also offering free COVID-19 testing.
Dates and times may vary, with evening and Saturday appointments available. The phone number is 812-379-1555, Option 1.
Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
