Tami S. Lowe was full of life, love and compassion for all. You would always find Tami helping others and giving of herself. She was born on January 13, 1950 in Moorhead, Minnesota and departed this life for her heavenly home December 20, 2020. As a young child, Tami was adopted by her forever Mom, Lillian Joyce King and Glenn Norman Lee. Most of her life, Tami lived on the west coast of the USA in Washington and Oregon. Tami attended Portland State University and graduated with a degree in Business and Accounting. In 2003, Tami met her future wife, Karen McPherson and moved to Indiana. They were wed July 27, 2014. It was a most wonderful and joyous occasion. Tami’s story would not be complete without telling of her love for animals. Tami and Karen had many four-legged children who will miss their momma. Tami was such an advocate for animals, she founded S.H.A.F.E. to “save healthy animals from euthanasia”. In 2005, Tami took her accounting and business knowledge and started her own business, TSL Bookkeeping, Accounting and Tax Service. Tami’s love and how she treated everyone came from her spiritual connection and love of God. Tami brought forth her time with God not only in care of others but in writing poetry. She used her gift to write for her church family, Faith Ministries, where she was a member. She wrote poetry to reflect the messages for the church, lyrics for songs and devotion. Tami will be deeply missed by her wife, Karen McPherson, her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Reneh McPherson, her friends, her clients and her church family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Bartholomew County Humane Society, Columbus Animal Care services, or to Karen McPherson to help with expenses.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Ministries, available by Zoom.
