COLUMBUS
Teresa Kay Bryant, 56, of Columbus, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. Teresa was born on February 1, 1964 in Columbus to Robert Hurt and Kathleen Clemons Hurt.
Teresa was previously employed as an optometry sales representative. She loved fishing, crafting, taking care of her plants and her scottish terrers.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 but due to the global pandemic, the funeral service will be private. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. on the Jewell- Rittman Family Funeral Home website (www.jewellrittman.com) with Pastor Rob Hurt officiating for online viewing. Burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery. The family appreciates your understanding and encourages you to join them for the ceremony online.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
Survivors include her sisters, Shelley Hurt, Diana Hendershot, Pam (Carl) Wilson all of Columbus; brothers, Art (Susie) Hurt, Terry (Glenna) Hurt, Larry (Joni) Hurt, Tim (Peggy) Hurt, Paul (Cathy) Hurt, Robbie (Dawn) Hurt all of Columbus; grandson, Jordan Bryant and Nate (Trish) Davidson a boy who was like a son to her.
Teresa was preceded death by her parents; son, Jason Bryant and a longtime companion, Danny Lawrence.
With the instructions issued by the State allowing gatherings of 50 people, we welcome friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to wait outside the building as we comply with this mandate. We encourage you to share your support with the family, being cognizant that others wish to do the same.
