COLUMBUS
Robert L. “Bobby” Richardson, 69, of Columbus, passed away at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. Bobby was born in Indianapolis on April 1, 1951 to Robert Richardson and Patricia Storms Richardson.
He married Stephanie Laffoon on May 16, 2020.
Bobby was co-founder of Unique Widows and Doors in Indianapolis. He founded Richardson Home Improvement in 1987. He was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Columbus. Bobby enjoyed Indiana University Basketball, Indiana Pacers and taking his family and friends to their games. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and taking them on vacation.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at The Sanctuary Church, 3939 Central Ave. Columbus, IN with Pastor Matthew Johnson and Bishop Dan Mitchell officiating. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Private entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Richardson; father, Robert Richardson of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Sheena (Cliff) East of Columbia, MS, Christa (Tony) Eldridge, Angie (Jurika) Triska and Mandy (Keith) Goldman all of New Palestine, IN; sons, Gerald Staten and Bobby Richardson both of Indianapolis, IN; step-daughters, Kalee Taylor, Aulaya Taylor and Isabella Taylor all of Columbus, IN; a step-sons, Zachery Taylor of Minneapolis, MN; brothers, Elroy (Patsy) Richardson, William (Velma) Richardson and Frank (Crystal) Richardson all of Indianapolis, IN; sisters, Bonnie (Ronnie) Harper, Debbie (Jack) Thompson and Carol Ball all of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Ashley, Annagrace, Blake, Bronxton, Knighten, Chynna, Savannah, Samantha, Tony and Kristen.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Richardson; 1st wife, Frieda C. Hoskins Richardson on June 18, 2018 and a granddaughter, Isabella Staten
