Evelyn A. Fetter, 90, of Columbus, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Willow Crossing Health and Rehab. Evelyn was born August 28, 1930, in Waymansville, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Esther Vogt Baute. Mrs. Fetter retired from Dolly Madison after several years of service. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to square dance and enjoyed Snapchat. A longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, she liked to attend bible study. Earlier in life, she was a waitress in various restaurants in Columbus. Mrs. Fetter volunteered at the Bartholomew County Senior Center and at Club 55. Evelyn spent a number of years on a bowling league. She looked forward to taking family trips as she loved to travel. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn was known for keeping an incredibly clean home and her wonderful, entertaining sense of humor in all sorts of different situations. She will be deeply missed by her family and those that knew her. Surviving are her children, Wayne (Susan) Lykins of Harrodsburg, KY., Kathy (Troy) Williamson of Columbus, Julie (David) Ebert, also of Harrodsburg, KY., Connie (Randy) Jines, also of Columbus; grandchildren, Cody Lykins, Amber (Chris) Birchler, Jeremy (Kelly) Stephens, Mindy (Jeremy) French, Elesha (Rob) Quillen, Andrew (Kelsey) Jines, Jonathan Jines, Jennifer (Luke) Stamps, Sara ( Fiance, Billy Ray) Griffin; great-grandchildren, Brooke Stephens, Logan French, Peyton French, Dakota French, Jaylin Walker, Tyler Quillen, Cooper Quillen, Carter Quillen, Collin Griffin, Conner Jines, Colten Jines, Leo Jines; sister, Earline (Delbert) Woodson of Columbus; adopted by heart, Chasity Butler and Mackenzie Godbey; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Forrest Baute, Francis Baute and sister, Elnora Barnes. A private visitation and funeral service will be conducted at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Mark Teike officiating. Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in our funeral home. We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
