Donald R. “Don” Alexander passed away at his home on December 13, 2020 at age 77. He was born on October 24, 1943 in Aaron, Kentucky to Roy and Reba Alexander, who preceded him in death.
Don grew up in Crawfordsville Indiana and graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1963.
He moved to Edinburgh in 1969 and began working at Cummins Engine Company. He spent 30 years at Cummins, mostly working as a quality control inspector, until retiring in 1999.
Don loved spending time with his family, but his favorite things were Jelly Beans and naps on the love seat. Don enjoyed watching old western movies, especially ones with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. He also enjoyed watching Purdue basketball, Steeler football, and Nascar.
Don is survived by his wife Patricia (Sexton) Alexander, three children; Carla (Randy) Webb, Vance (Karen) Alexander and Andrew (Mandy) Alexander, and six grandchildren; Kyle Webb, Jamie Webb, Shyanne Boucher-Zorn, Casper (Lydia) Alexander.Celina Alexander, and Sierra Alexander.
He is also survived by two brothers and four sisters: Eva Baldwin, Carolyn Sue Estelle, Edna
LaBeau, Roy Alexander Jr., Bob (Fran) Alexander and Diane (Rex) Cooksey, and two sisters-
in-law, Barb Fetzer and Sue Alexander.
There will be a rotating visitation* on Saturday, January 9th,2021 from 11:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m with a Memorial service beginning at 1:00 p.m.. Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
*Due to COVID-19, there is a maximum of 25 people permitted in the funeral home at a time and masks must be worn.
