COLUMBUS, INDIANA

Karen Kay (Anderson) McCullough, 81, of Columbus, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with her loving family by her side on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 3:45 a.m. after a long illness of Dementia. She was born on October 3, 1939 in Greensburg, the youngest daughter of Gerald and Phyllis Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, (Jerry) Jerrell McCullough of Columbus, IN; daughter, Deborah Edenfield of Tallahassee, FL; son, David McCullough, his wife, Christine and their three children, Keegan, Koltan and Kennedy all of Greensburg, IN; sister, Donna (James) Johnson of Greensburg, IN; brother, Jerry (Sue) Anderson; brother-in-law, Richard McCullough and his wife, Carol of Port Charlotte, Florida and sister-in-law, Mary McCullough of Greensburg and many nieces and nephews. She was married to (Jerry) Jerrell McCullough for over 62 years, and was a loyal and devoted wife, Karen was active in her church, serving for many years in the church nursery where she was a popular caregiver for infants and toddlers. After graduating from Sandcreek High School in 1957, she went on to graduate from Indiana Business College and worked at Cummins for several years before starting her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she enjoyed vacations to Fayettesville, Georgia to visit family members. She was especially proud of the fact that all of her grandchildren are currently in college. Due to the recent COVID outbreak, the family will have a private family viewing and service at 2:00 p.m. on January 9, 2021 at the Bass and Gasper Funeral Home in Westport, Indiana, 402 E. Bennett Street. The service may be viewed online at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at www.bassgasper.com. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. Jerry Day, Jr., Pastor of The Ridge and Pastor Jerry Day, Sr. will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to The Ridge at 2800 Bonnell Road, Columbus, IN 47203.
