BROWN COUNTY
Curtis “Butch” Stephen Roberts, 68, of Brown County passed from this life on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1:59 p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Roberts was born on December 27, 1952 in Bartholomew County, Indiana the son of Ora M. and Clara L. Brand Roberts. On July 24, 1971 in Brown County, he married Debra L. Pruitt.
Mr. Roberts retired after 40 years of service from Cummins Engine Company and was a member of the Neighborhood Church of God in Brown County where he served as a trustee and also the Diesel Workers Union. He enjoyed being outside and working on tractors and cars. One of his greatest joys was attending his youngest granddaughters sporting events.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Debra L. Roberts of Brown County; children, Nichole (Chad) Williams of Nashville and Timothy (Becky) Roberts of Edinburgh; grandchildren, Shelby, Daniel, Alyssa, Hailee, and Tim Jr.; siblings, Nettie (Robert) Walls, Louetta (Dave) Willard, Ben (Martha) Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bud Roberts, Sally Dixon, Kathryn Miller, Lena Luber, and Shirley Selby.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor James Albertson officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Christiansburg Cemetery in Brown County.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Neighborhood Church of God through the funeral home.
Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in our funeral home.
