BCSC reporting nearly 500 COVID-19 cases since August

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. officials reported Friday that since August, the school corporation has had 498 positive COVID cases. Of this number, 299 have been students, 145 have been staff and 54 have been teachers.

The reported cases are as follows, by building:

  • Administration Building: Seven staff (7)
  • Busy Bees: Eight staff, three teachers (11)
  • Central: 20 students, two staff, two teachers (24)
  • Clifty Creek: Three students, nine staff, six teachers (18)
  • CSA Fodrea: Three students, three staff, three teachers (9)
  • CSA Lincoln: Eight students, three staff, one teacher (12)
  • CSA New Tech: 22 students, two staff, two teachers (26)
  • East: 61 students, 14 staff, five teachers (80)
  • ISC: Eight staff (8)
  • McDowell/Bright Beginnings: Eight students, five staff, one teacher (14)
  • Mt Healthy: Eight students, three staff, five teachers (16)
  • North: 86 students, 21 staff, six teachers (113)
  • Northside: 18 students, six staff, three teachers (27)
  • Parkside: 15 students, seven staff, two teachers (24)
  • Richards: 13 students, one staff, two teachers (16)
  • Rockcreek: Five students, two staff, two teachers (9)
  • Schmitt: Three students, eight staff, two teachers (13)
  • Smith: 10 students, two staff, two teachers (14)
  • Southside: Nine students, eight staff, four teachers (21)
  • T&M: 21 staff (21)
  • Taylorsville: Seven students, five staff, three teachers (15)

In addition, the COVID-19 Community Task Force’s latest community spread update, posted Thursday, showed that the per capita positive rate is 35.
