- All Columbus trash collection will be on schedule Friday, however the offices of the Department of Public Works will be closed Friday and reopen at 7 a.m. Monday. The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed on Friday. Regular business hours will resume Monday at 8 a.m. If you have a problem with your water or sewer service, call 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
