PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Straightening Operator is responsible for performing start of shift checks and setup on all equipment pertaining to the Straightening position. Straighten the surface, and check pitch of all parts to prepare for finishers. All straightening is performed by holding the parts in hand. Any defects in the parts should be found and reported.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inspect part for and defects and notify group leader.
2. Pass completed parts to next grinding process.
3. Clean equipment and area at end of day.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED/High School Equivalency
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production
