Hauser Jr.-Sr. High School to have new principal

HOPE — An administrator from Hope Elementary will be taking over the role of Hauser Jr./Sr. High School principal.

Current Principal David Wintin said in an email that he will be moving into a “central office position” next year, and the new Hauser principal will be Kris Fortune, current dean of students at Hope.

Fortune joined Hope Elementary in the dean’s position in 2018. According to a letter from Fortune that was shared by the elementary school at that time, he is originally from Hatfield, Indiana.

Fortune graduated from Indiana State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s in elementary education. He got his master’s degree in school administration from Ball State University in May of 2017.
