NORTH VERNON
Jewell L. Frazier, 87, of North Vernon, a former Columbus Resident, passed away Thursday at her home.
Jewell was born in Kurtz, Indiana May 6, 1934, the daughter of Wendell and Myrtle Hillenburg Fish. She married Hargus Frazier; he preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker, enjoying taking care of her family and being a loving mother and grandmother.
She attended White Creek United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Jane (Steve) Ritchie of North Vernon and Craig Frazier also of North Vernon; grandchildren, Caleb (Chelsea) Johnson of Hawaii and Joshua (Gabreille) Johnson of Columbus; sister, Sue (Herb) Fisher of Columbus; great grandchildren, Brantley, River and Knox Johnson of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A private service will be conducted at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with burial to follow at Garland Brook Cemetery, Pastor Jerry Roberts will officiate. A public celebration of life will be held at White Creek United Methodist Church from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
