B. Lureine Ackenback, 96, of Columbus passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope.
Lureine was born in Brown County, Indiana December 6, 1924, the daughter of Charles “Ray” and Edna Saffel Taylor. She married George Ackenback; he preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a member of Mill Race Center, The Kitchen Band and she loved to travel. For many years she was a medical assistant at the medical office of Dr’s Ranck, Rau and Daugherty, retiring in 1987.
She is survived by sons, Maurice (Patricia) Haymaker and Max (Caroline) Haymaker both of Columbus; grandchildren, Melissa (Patrick) Roche, Lori Loverenz, Lindsey Mundt, Nicholle Richey and Tony Fisher; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Wilma Jean Taylor and Mary Fields; bother, Max Taylor.
In keeping with Lureine’s wishes all services and burial at Garland Brook Cemetery will be private.
