COLUMBUS
Constance J. Seward, 72, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 9:34 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at her home.
Constance was born in Columbus, January 7, 1949, the second daughter born to Tom and Frances Seward.
Constance dedicated her life to protecting animals, she fostered hundred of pets and found forever homes for them.
Constance will be missed by her sisters, Ruth Ann Seward of Columbus, Catherine (Walter) Jackson of Brown County, and Audrey Seward-Tyree of Columbus; nieces, Amber Rhoades of Columbus and Amanda Johnson of Columbus; nephews, Tom (Sarah) Dorsett of Columbus, Randy Dorsett of Freetown, Russell (Pat) Dorsett of Indianapolis, Trevor Tyree of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Tanner (Brittany) Tyree of Hope; nine great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Constance was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Frances Seward.
In keeping with Constance’s wishes, cremation is planned. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to a preferred animal protection organization.
