Conley Gay Caudill, 81, of Taylorsville, passed from this life at 12:56 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Caudill was born August 11, 1940, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, the son of Elbert Caudill and Daisy Day Caudill.
He married Youla M. St. Clair November 6, 1965.
Gay retired from Milestone Contractors in 2000 after 30 years of service.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis, Bartholomew County Shrine Club and Columbus Moose Lodge #398.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 56 years; children, Bryan (Rhonda) Caudill and Brena (Ron Sexton) Sutton both of Columbus; grandchildren, Makayla (Cameron Corbin) Caudill, Zachary Sutton and Brooklyn Sutton.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother, Daisy Sumpter; brothers, Don, Darrel and Neil Caudill and sisters, Cass Roberts and Evelyn Maxey.
The funeral will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Scott Bourland officiating.
Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
In keeping with the families wishes, cremation will take place following the service.
