Lois ‘Imogene’ Berkenstock

COLUMBUS

Lois “Imogene” Berkenstock, age 97, passed away on October 23, 2021, at 8:26 a.m. at Hickory Creek of Columbus.

Imogene was born July 12, 1924, to Ben and Lula (Readnour) Allen. She married Carl Berkenstock on June 26, 1946, and he preceded her in death.

Imogene retired from Arvin after many years of service. She always had a smile on her face and was always willing to help.

Imogene is survived by her nephew Jack (Virginia) Bullard, her great-nieces, Joanna (Rod) Dailey, Janice Isbill, Teresa (Todd) Trowbridge, great-great nephews along with their children Rob Dailey (Nolan and Addie), Tyler Trowbridge (Shealee & Rylee), Trevor Trowbridge (Brinley), Joe Isbill (Marley, Emrys, and Eden) and Jonathan Isbill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Noble Grant Allen, sister, Viola Bullard, a niece, Norma Jean Bullard, and her step-mother Harriet Allen.

Due to Covid, a private graveside memorial was conducted at Lower Union Presbyterian Cemetery with Jonathan Isbill officiating.

Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
