GCA rallies past Jets

HOPE — Hauser led 23-20 at halftime, but Greenwood Christian Academy rallied for a 55-47 victory.

Madelyn Poe led the Jets (8-7) with 19 points. Kyliegh Parrott scored 10, and Adrianna Musillami added nine.

Chargers top Cougars

GREENSBURG — South Decatur jumped out to a 29-19 halftime lead, but North Decatur used a 22-4 advantage in the third quarter to rally for a 51-40 Mid-Hoosier Conference win.

Makayla Somers led the Cougars (3-11, 0-4) with 11 points. Kiley Best added 10.

East girls down Stars

BEDFORD — The Columbus East girls rolled to a 139-39 win Thursday at Bedford North Lawrence. The Stars took the boys meet 95-88.

Karissa Miller won the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 30.66 seconds) and 100 butterfly (1:07.81), Josie Havenaar took the 50 freestyle (28.01) and 100 backstroke (1:12.64) and Ellie Proffit captured the 100 freestyle (55.35) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.53) to lead the Olympian girls. Gabbie Meier won the diving competition (192.75), and East swept the 200 medley (2:06.52), 200 freestyle (1:53.06) and 400 freestyle (4:28.64) relays.

Misha Machavariani led the boys with wins in the 500 freestyle (5:04.42) and 100 breaststroke. Judah Nickoll took the 200 freestyle (1:53.13), Dathan Wolf captured the 100 backstroke (57.97) and the Olympians won the 400 freestyle relay (3:22.98).
