BOYS BASKETBALL

North downs Roncalli

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North ran its winning streak to four with a 59-37 win Tuesday night at Roncalli.

The Bull Dogs (10-5) jumped out to a 31-14 halftime lead and cruised from there.

Cooper Horn led North with 18 points. Ty Ferguson and Sam King added 14.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

North falls to Dragons

SELLERSBURG — Class 3A No. 4 Silver Creek jumped out to a 29-19 halftime lead and went on to hand Columbus North a 54-34 defeat.

Kylah Lawson led the Bull Dogs (11-7) with 12 points. Lauren Barker added nine.

Panthers top Eagles

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County jumped out to a 39-7 halftime lead and went on to post a 57-27 win against Brown County.

Kali Thompson led the Panthers (15-3) with 17 points. Juliann Woodard scored 14, and Alivia Elmore added 12.

Abigail Watson scored seven points to lead the Eagles (3-17).

GYMNASTICS

Flashes outscore East

INDIANAPOLIS — Competing for the first time in three weeks, Columbus East fell to Franklin Central 96.0 to 92.875.

The Olympians’ Regan Mount finished fourth in the all-around competition with a 31.425. Mount placed third on the bars (7.65) and fifth on the vault (8.2).

Cami Warren took fifth in the all-around with a 30.95. She was second on the floor (8.475), fourth on the vault (8.25) and fifth on the bars (6.875) and beam (7.65).

Winter Shaver finished fourth on the beam (7.725) and fifth on the floor (8.0).
