Lonnie R. ‘Jake’ Arbuckle

GREENSBURG

Lonnie R. “Jack” Arbuckle, 83, of Greensburg passed away Friday January 21,2022 at Schneck Medical Center.

Born November 12,1938 in Shelby County he was the son of Alonzo J. “Lonnie” Arbuckle and Caroline Milburn Arbuckle. He married Sue Barton November 20,1998 and she survives.

Before retirement Lonnie was employed at Sprint as a supervisor and in management.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Moose Lodge and Edinburgh American Legion Post 233.

Lonnie enjoyed playing the guitar in the band in which he organized called Back Porch Band. He also loved riding motorcycles.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Sue of Greensburg; children, Tim (Bonnie) Arbuckle of Florence, KY, Tammie (Tom) Sullivan of Greenwood, Lisa Arbuckle Service of Greenwood and Darin (Magen) Arbuckle of Columbus; step children, Jeff Fivecoat of Columbus and Traci Allen of Greensburg; grandchildren, Christian Arbuckle (Alexa Whipker) of Columbus, Wesley Hendrix of Greenwood, Taylor Bjerregard of Greenwood and Kevin Bjerregard of Greenwood; step grandchildren, Shelby Fivecoat of Columbus, Taylor Cross of Columbus, Kelsea Cross of Cincinnati and Zachary Fivecoat of Columbus; great granddaughter, Hallie Fivecoat of Columbus; siblings, James M. Arbuckle of Franklin, Robert D. (Sharon) Arbuckle of Edinburgh and Michael L. (Julia) Arbuckle of Ashland City, TN and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Lonnie will be Wednesday January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. The funeral will be officiated by Pastor Nathan Shockley. Public visitation will be Wednesday from 11 am to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be donated to The American Legion, P.O. Box 1954, Indianapolis, IN 46206, Fraternal of Order of Eagles or Moose Lodge by choosing one of their charities.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Caroline; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy R. and Don Weber and brother and sister-in-law, Major Donald L. and Mary Arbuckle the 1rst.
