North falls to Panthers

EDINBURGH — Columbus North had a chance to play on the Timbergate course that will host the Conference Indiana Tournament and fell to Bloomington South 298-312 on Monday.

Luke Schneider led the Bull Dogs with a 75, Tyler Wilks carded a 76, Brady Schneider added an 80, Jack Schiavello and John Merritt each shot 81, Willy Davis had an 85 and John Ferguson finished with an 88.

Eagles edge Lancers

NASHVILLE — Brown County defeated Edinburgh on the fifth-score tiebreaker after both teams recorded 195s at Salt Creek.

Kody Walsh led the Eagles with a 47. Cooper VanNess and Clay Austin each shot 48, Eli Sichting and Wesley Arndt each shot 52, Liam Cassiday carded a 55, Bradley Arndt added a 61 and Jordan Burnett had a 66.

Edinburgh’s Max Blanford won medalist honors with a 41. Trevor Moon carded a 46, Mason Calhoun added a 52, Devyn Milburn shot 56, Keegan Smith had a 58, Wyatt Burton finished with a 59 and Ian Buchanan had a 61.

Jennings tops East

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County pulled out a pair of three-set wins in doubles to claim a 4-1 victory against Columbus East.

Reagan Brown beat Katie Hong 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Tatum Brown topped Shrithika Kumar 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles for the Panthers (5-4). Lucy Brown and Maria Ecker Alberti defeated Katey Rieckers and Cathrine Millwood 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Caitlyn Schuck and Amy Vogel outlasted Ashlynn Waddle and Betsy Hoene 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.

The win for the Olympians (1-8) came at No. 3 singles, where Ruth Federle beat Mia Silvey 7-5, 4-6 (10-3).

Panthers nip Warriors

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to pull out its sixth consecutive win, a 6-5 triumph against Scottsburg.

Abby McDonald went 2 for 2, Delaynee McCreary went 2 for 3 with two doubles and Kenzie Matern went 2 for 4 for the Panthers (6-6). Alexis Carson had two RBIs, including the game-winning sacrifice fly.
