An Alzheimer’s-related fundraiser, “Cocktails For the Cure, ” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday outdoors at the home of Jill Tasker and Doug Stender, 2715 Franklin Drive in Columbus (the gathering will move indoors in case of rain). This year’s theme is “To Have and Have Another,” with bourbon-based signature cocktails (including a virgin cocktail) along with special food pairings.
Tasker’s mother, Sandi Hinshaw, died on April 30, from complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Tasker will be incorporating her mom’s plates, napkins, platters, etc., in this fundraiser. All the elements of this event will include Hinshaw’s touches.

This is planned as an outdoor event. In the case of bad weather, organizers will set up inside.
