COLUMBUS
On June 20th, 2022, Joyce Cobb, loving wife and mother of four passed away at the age of 80.
Joyce was born in Columbus, IN on July 26, 1941 to Homer and Mary Cox. She married Raymond Cobb on January 29th, 1967 and they raised four children.
Joyce retired from her position as Machine Operator at PMG/Diamet in 2005, where she originally started in 1995. When not at work she could often be found on one of the many horses she owned in her life. She enjoyed going camping at Double Y Saddle club, where she could unite many of her life’s passions: horses, family, friends and dancing with her husband.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Homer Cox and her husband, Raymond Cobb. She is survived by her children: Brian Meek, Janie Meek, Lori Coleman and Joshua Cobb; Her grandchildren: Callie Turner, Justin Meek, Lindsey Meredith (Woodcock), Christopher Cobb, Katheryn Smith, Derek Meek, Dylan Smith, Reshawn Cobb, and Sunday Cork; her great grandchildren: Kenai, Durrani, Ava and Wyatt; and her sisters: Brenda McWilliams and Nancy Jackson.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday July 1, 2022 at Myers Reed on 25th st in Columbus, IN. Friends may gather for visitation from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday. As a child of God, the family has invited long time friend, Pastor Donnie Abney from Crossing Over Jordan Church in Glasgow, KY to preside over the celebration of life memorial.
