EDINBURGH
Grace “Gracie” M. Owens, 93 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away July16, 2022 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, In-Patient Facility. She was born June 13, 1929 in Columbus, Indiana. She was the daughter of Dillard and Georgia (Greenlee) Beatty. She married Glen E. “Jimmy” Owens on December 23, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2019.
She is survived by her son, Mark “Debbie” Owens of Palmetto, Florida, daughter, Glenna Parmer of Columbus, Indiana, grandchildren, Kelli J. “Kenny” Buckley of Trafalgar, Indiana, Julie Ann “Ryan” Facemire of Franklin, Indiana, and Kristopher Parmer of Columbus, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Mia E. Buckley, Alixandra Parmer, and Maxxom Parmer, brothers, Butch Beatty of Columbus, Indiana, and sister, Norma Beatty of Columbus, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Charles Beatty, and sister, Mary Sampson.
Gracie was a Columbus High School graduate. She was a member Edinburgh American Legion Auxiliary for many years. She retired from Reliance Electric as an executive secretary.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and working Crossword puzzles.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
