WAPAKONETA, OHIO
Michael D. Reedy, age 69, of Wapakoneta, Ohio and formerly of Columbus, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Lima, Ohio. He was born April 24, 1953 and was the son of Leo and Mavis Jane Reedy. On August 5, 1989, he married Dianna Fry and she survives.
Mike graduated from Columbus High School in 1971 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975. He retired in 2018 as a maintenance electrician from Amcast Automotive in Wapakoneta and continued working for Midwest Elastomers Inc., also of Wapakoneta before retiring completely. Mike enjoyed woodworking, his cat “Boomer”, traveling, dining out and his country home outside of Wapakoneta.
Mike is survived by his wife Dianna, his daughter and son-in-law Jayna (Steve) Wythe and his granddaughter Clover Rohland. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother-in-law, Jeffrey J. Fry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home 3855 with Jerry Easton officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors provided by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mike to the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard through the funeral home.
