North tops New Albany
NEW ALBANY — Class 3A No. 12 Columbus North gave up its first goal of the season before rallying for a 3-1 win Tuesday at New Albany.
New Albany scored on a free kick in the 20th minute. North’s Obed Oliva tied it off an assist from Raul Oliveira in the 26th minute, and Flynn Keele scored off an assist from Oliva in the 28th minute, and North led 2-1 at halftime.
Keele converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute after Oliveira was tripped in the box
North (5-0) outshot New Albany 21-7, putting 10 shots on goal to two for New Albany. Max Grewe and Oscar Ballinas each played a half in goal, and each posted one save.
Artesians blank Eagles
NASHVILLE — Brown County endured a 10-0 loss against Martinsville.
Mareck Reeves and Billy Hubbard each recorded two saves for the Eagles (0-2). Dagan Clarke added one save.

Bull Dogs down Owls
SEYMOUR — Ava Bunker fired a 1-under-par 35 to lead Columbus North to a 160-200 win against Seymour at Shadowood.
Lindsey Hartwell added a 41 for the Bull Dogs. Erin Hopkins and Ritisha Rashmil each shot 42, and Nettie Meeks had a 49.

Panthers stop Stars
BEDFORD — Jennings County won four matches in straight sets in a 4-1 win at Bedford North Lawrence.
Owen Law beat Turner Graham 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Parker Bales topped Nate Pemberton 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 singles for the Panthers (6-1). Justin Ramey and Ryan Schuck downed Jayden Kemp and Drew Stephenson 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Alex Leach and Ty Zohrlaut defeated Gavin Baker and Carter Kimmel 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Jennings’ Janne Sebastian fell to Isaac Bridges 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
Braves topple Lancers
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh won at No. 1 singles, but Brownstown Central took the other four matches to post a 4-1 victory.
Max Blandford beat Smith Hackman 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Lancers (1-5).
Edinburgh’s Austin Brockman fell to Pierson Wheeler 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles, and Milas Burkman lost to Lane Steward 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Bailey Totten and Braylon Lenkner fell to Conner Gwin and Bryce Reaser 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Teddy Crawhorn and Jayson Music lost to Evan Schneider and Elix Preston 6-1, 6-0 at No.2 doubles.

East falls to Seymour
SEYMOUR — Columbus East endured its first loss of the season, a 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 Hoosier Hills Conference setback at Seymour.
Gabby Dean pounded 14 kills, Erin Williams recorded 33 assists, Kenzie Foster notched 13 digs and Chloe Gilley served one ace to lead the Olympians (3-1, 0-1). Maddie Cline added 12 kills, and Gilley had eight digs.
Panthers sweep Bulldogs
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County opened its HHC season with a 25-14, 25-18, 25-15 win against New Albany.
Kills Charlee Barlow and Abrey Belding each pounded eight kills, Zoie Suhre had five blocks, Taylor Mowery and Mallory Manowitz each notched 18 digs andAbrey Belding and Taylor Mowery each served two aces for the Panthers (2-2, 1-0).
Lancers win in 4
MORRISTOWN — Edinburgh overcame a third-set setback to post a 25-21, 25-14, 19-25, 25-14 Mid-Hoosier Conference win at Morristown.
Gracie Crawhorn led the Lancers (8-2, 2-0) with 11 kills, eight blocks and 26 digs. Kyah Streeval recorded 31 assists, and Jessica Walsh served three aces.
Also for Edinburgh, Zoey Sida tallied seven kills, 14 digs and two aces, and Kyah Streeval pounded seven kills. Mia Dodson had five blocks, MacKenzie Bieker notched 22 digs, Walsh had 14 digs and Kenna Streeval added two aces.
Cougars sweep Indians
GREENSBURG — South Decatur cruised to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-14 win at Milan.
Sophie Bushhorn pounded eight kills, Makayla Somers recorded 16 assists, Zsophia Sharp had three blocks, Semla Smith notched 15 digs and Paige McQueen and Lydia Witkemper each served three aces for the Cougars (7-5).
Also for South Decatur, Somers and Milly Eden each tallied five kills. Bushhorn and Witkemper each added nine digs.

Dragons top Trinity
SELLERSBURG — Emma Myers scored a pair of goals, but Trinity Lutheran fell 7-2 at Silver Creek.
Kennedy Royalty had an assit for the Cougars (0-3). The Dragons outshot Trinity 18-5.
