GREENWOOD — No. 7 Columbus North pulled out two three-set wins Thursday to claim a 3-2 win at No. 8 Center Grove.

Hank Lin beat Tyler Lane 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Steven Sun topped Quinn Smith 6-1, 6-7 (6), 6-2 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (10-2). Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram defeated Max Williams and Carson Bush 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.

North’s Austin Clark fell to Loc Pham 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Parth Shah and Parth Gupta lost to Evan Davis and Daksh Patel 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Batesville blanks East

Batesville won all five matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win at Columbus East.

Erik Takahashi fell to Cael Rake 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Matthew Degner lost to Jaden Smith 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Brady Redelman fell to Sam Johnson 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (5-5).

East’s Ethan Bumbalough and Jacob Dettmer lost to Cale Pride and Jackson Time 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 doiubles. Henry Ulrich and Tyler Emmert fell to Luke Oesterling and Alex Bunselman 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Jets down Jackets

HOPE — Hauser won three matches in straight sets in a 4-1 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Morristown.

Caleb Wallace beat Tyler Schonfeld 6-0, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, and Hagan Wiedersatz topped Jacob Robey 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles for the Jets (4-8, 4-2). Levi Gollmer and Hunter Pappano downed Dalton McMichael and Michael Ballinger 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Jentzen Bechtel and Kameron Blair defeated Bryce Bryant and Brady Schonfeld 1-6, 7-5, (10-7) at No. 2 doubles.

Hauser’s Jackson Burcham fell to Jameson Palmer 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

Devils edge Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Jeffersonville pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 doubles to claim a 3-2 win at Jennings County.

Owen Law beat Jaden Wells 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Parker Bales topped Teddy Burnette 6-1, 6-0 at No.2 singles for the Panthers (9-4).

Jennings’ Janne Sebastian fell to Matthew Lowe 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Justin Ramey and Ryan Schuck fell to Reggie Ellis and Hayden Boseker 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (3) at No. 1 doubles, and Alex Leach and Ty Zohrlaut lost to Eli Cochrum and Ryan Crawford 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Lancers slip past OA

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh claimed a three-set win at No. 1 doubles to pull out a 3-2 win against Oldenburg Academy.

Max Blandford blanked Will Hollingsworth at No. 1 singles, and Milas Burkman beat Carson Ruter 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores for the Lancers (5-6). Bailey Totten and Braylon Lenkner topped Jack Freeland and Jonah Short 6-4, 1- 6, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.

Edinburgh’s Austin Brockman fell to Clay Eckstein 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) at No. 2 singles. Teddy Crawhorn and Jason Music lost to Carson Phillips and Zach Phillips 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Royals edge Bull Dogs

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North managed six shots, but couldn’t convert in a 1-0 loss at Roncalli.

Mallory Gilley posted eight saves for the Bull Dogs (3-4-2).

Panthers rout Stars

BEDFORD —Abby McDonald netted three goals and one assist to lead Jennings County to a 9-0 Hoosier Hills Conference win at Bedford North Lawrence.

Maddie McIntosh added two goals and one assist, Bree Galyen had one goal and one assist and Cheyeanna Leslie, Audrey McClintoch and Josie Flores all scored one goal for the Panthers (3-4-1, 1-2). Macy Addis recorded three assists, and Manto Vadell Perello added one assist.

Jennings did not allow a shot on goal.

Jets sweep Shelbyville

SHELBYVILLE — Hauser cruised to a 25-16, 25-17, 25-14 victory at Shelbyville.

Kenze Bostic pounded 16 kills, Adrianna Musillami recorded 32 assists, Aniston Bostic had five blocks, Charlie Clark notched 11 digs and Kyra Meister and Kayden Miller each served three aces to lead the Jets (10-3).

Also for Hauser, Miller tallied eight kills, and Aniston Bostic added six kills. Kenze Bostic had four blocks and two aces, Paige McDaniel added two blocks, Meister notched nine digs and Musillami had eight digs.

Columbus Christian falls

Columbus Christian won the second set, but Indianapolis Metropolitan recovered for a 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, 25-14 victory.

Anika Jenkins recorded three solo and two assist blocks and three digs, Grace Johnson had seven assists and two aces and Emma Murray tallied seven kills and two aces to lead the Crusaders (1-6).

Also for Columbus Christian, Jenkins pounded six kills, Madison Murray added three kills, Emma Sewell six assists and three digs and Paige Walden had two assist blocks.

Panthers sweep Batesville

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County pulled out close second and third sets to finish off a 25-20, 26-24,26-24 win against Batesville.

Taylor Mowery led the Panthers (9-4) with 28 digs and five aces. Charlee Barlow pounded seven kills, and Zoie Suhre had four blocks.

Also for Jennings, Addison Martin, Megan Vogel and Avynn Belding all added five kills.

Lancers fall in 5

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh led two-sets-to one, but Indian Creek rallied for a 21-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11 victory.

Gracie Crawhorn recorded 12 kills, two blocks and 12 digs and MacKenzie Bieker had two blocks and 12 digs to lead the Lancers (10-3). Jessica Walsh and Zoey Sida each notched 12 digs, Kyah Streeval tallied 34 assists, and Kenna Streeval served three aces.

Also for Edinburgh, Side pounded eight kills, and Bieker added seven kills. Kyah Streeval served three aces.

Trinity tops Stars

SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran had little trouble in rolling to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-11 win against Bedford North Lawrence.

Bailey Tabeling recorded two blocks and two aces, and Laura Roeder had 12 digs and two aces to lead the Cougars (11-5). Carson Bowling pounded 12 kills, and Addison Darlage notched 30 assists.

Also for Trinity, Tabeling tallied 11 kills and 11 digs. Drew Hubbard added seven kills, and Darlage had 11 digs.

GIRLS GOLF

Panthers take second

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County finished second in a quad match at Greensburg Country Club. Batesville won with a 151 to 192 for the Panthers, 221 for Greensburg and 228 for Lawrenceburg.

Sophia Curry led Jennings with a 40. Alexis Carson carded a 43, Lauren Galvan added a 50, Rachael Manning shot 59 and Dakota Carr had a 67.

Warriors stop Eagles

FRANLKLIN — Brown County fell to Whiteland 211-229 at The Legends.

Lilly VanNess led the Eagles with a 52. Hannah deWeerdt carded a 54, Chloe Poling added a 58, Ava Stogsdill had a 65 and Savannah Poling had a 70.
