Jets top Eagles

NASHVILLE — After winning two close sets Tuesday night, Hauser has a little easier time in the third in picking up a 25-22, 25-21, 25-19 win at Brown County.

Aniston Bostic led the Jets (12-4) with 13 kills and two blocks. Adrianna Musillami recorded 36 assists, Kyra Meister notched 19 digs and Charlie Clark served four aces.

Also for Hauser, Kenze Bostic tallied 11 kills, one assist and two aces. Kayden Miller contributed eight kills and one assist, Mattie Foster had 12 digs and three aces and Clark added 12 digs.

Madilyn Hawley led the Eagles (5-8) with five assists and three blocks. Abigail Watson pounded six kills, Morgan Osborn notched 10 digs and Londyn Koester served two aces.

East sweeps Stars

BEDFORD — Columbus East had little trouble in rolling to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-17 Hoosier Hills Conference win at Bedford North Lawrence.

Maddie Cline pounded 14 kills, Erin Williams recorded 24 assists, Caroline Frost had two solo and three assist blocks, Kenzie Foster notched 20 digs and Jenna Guse served three aces to lead the Olympians (8-7, 2-2).

Also for East, Frost tallied eight kills, Guse had five kills and eight digs, and Gabby Dean added four kills and two solo and two assist blocks. Addison Emery contributed nine digs and one ace, Williams had six digs and Cline added five digs.

North falls to Flashes

Columbus North came close in the third set, but fell to Franklin Central 25-17, 25-13, 28-26.

Karen Dutro pounded seven kills, Emma Burns recorded nine assists, Kennedy Horn had four blocks, Emily Stair notched 14 digs and Reese Edwards served two aces to lead the Bull Dogs (6-11).

Also for North, Logan Branstetter tallied five kills, Edwards had seven assists and Dutro added three blocks and one ace.

Lions top Crusaders

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus Christian endured a 25-15, 25-21, 25-20 loss at Bloomington Lighthouse.

Grace Johnson led the Crusaders (3-7) with four assists, six digs and four aces. Anika Jenkins pounded five kills.

Also for Columbus Christian, Alexys Murray tallied three kills and four digs; Emma Murray had two kills and four digs and one ace and Natalie Sanders added two kills and one assist. Emma Sewell recorded two assists, and Jenkins added four digs and two aces.

North blanks Franklin

No. 6 Columbus North won four matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win against Franklin.

Hank Lin blanked Caleb Funkhouser 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Austin Clark beat Reid Davidson 5-7, 6-4 (10-6) at No. 2 singles and Steven Sun topped Nathan Neville 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (14-2).

North’s Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram downed Pryce Rucker and Luke Sherrt 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Parth Shah and Parth Gupta defeated Ian Blackketter and Dylan Funkhouser 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Jets edge Mohawks

WALDRON — Hauser won both doubles matches, but Waldron swept the singles to pull out a 3-2 Mid-Hoosier Conference decision.

Levi Gollmer and Hunter Pappano beat Conner Hinchman and Josh Kellems 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles for the Jets (4-9, 4-3). Jentzen Bechtel and Kameron Blair topped Caiden Young and Matthew Thomas 6-4, 3-6, (10-6) at No. 2 doubles.

Hauser’s Caleb Wallace fell to Lucas Shaw 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, Jackson Burcham lost to Jack Fischer 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Hagan Wiedersatz fell to Jacob Lindsey 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

Tigers topple Lancers

EDINBURGH — Triton Central won all three matches in straight sets in a 5-0 win at Edinburgh

Max Blandford fell to Tucker Hutchinson 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, Austin Brockman lost to Avram Rund 0-6, 7-5, (10-4) at No. 2 singles and Milas Burkman fell to Cole Thomas 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles for the Lancers (5-8).

Edinburgh’s Bailey Totten and Braylon Lenkner lost to Griffin Sego and Ben Toth 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Teddy Crawhorn and Jayson Music fell to Joey Brasnan and Oliver Geralds 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Franklin edges East

FRANKLIN — Franklin scored a goal in the fifth minute and held on from there for a 1-0 win against Columbus East.

Pete Coriden posted two saves for the Olympians (1-5-4).

Jets fall to Pirates

GREENSBURG — Hauser trailed only 1-0 at halftime, but Greensburg pulled away for a 4-0 victory.

The Jets fell to 1-6-1.

Patriots blank Eagles

SPENCER — Brown County came away with a 3-0 Western Indiana Conference loss at Owen Valley.

Mareck Reeves recorded five saves for the Eagles (1-6, 1-4).

Eagles win on PKs

NASHVILLE — Brown County picked up a WIC win in a penalty kick shootout against Owen Valley.

The score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, with Alli Majors scoring the goal for the Eagles (3-2-1, 3-2). Xyliegh Thompson, River Ford, Julia Burt, Sarah Callahan and Majors converted PKs in the shootout.

Anna Tipton posted three saves.
