The Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Girls Cross Country Academic All-State teams were recently released.
Making the girls first team were Columbus East’s Chloe Krueger; Columbus North’s Kenzie Meyer, Jessica Meza, Brianna Newell, Kenzie Pendleton and Adriana Vargas; Hauser’s Reiss Kistler and Amanda Steward and South Decatur’s Elizabeth Flessner, Bridget Nobbe and Sami Storm.
Making honorable mention for girls were East’s Riley Carothers, North’s Sydney Morlok and Sylvia Sasse, Brown County’s Kayleigh Austin and Hadley Gradolf and South Decatur Clair Schoettmer.
All-Academic soccer teams announced
The Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association released its All-State Academic soccer team this week.
Columbus East’s Elizabeth Deckard, Allison Craig, Norah Dwenger, Hallie Randle, Alexis Spurgeon and Anna Liimatta were named to the All-State Team. East’s Sydney Berkemeier, Maggie Matthews, Heidi Murphy and Emma Patterson and Trinity Lutheran’s Emma Myers were named honorable mention.
IHSTeCA announces postseason awards
The Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association has announced its postseason awards.
Columbus North’s Hank Lin and Austin Clark and Jennings County’s Owen Law and Parker Bales were named to the All-District 8 Team in singles. North’s Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram and Parth Gupta and Parth Shah were named All-District in doubles.
Columbus East’s Matthew Degner was named to the IHSTeCA Academic All-State team. North was named an Academic State Team.
The All-State teams will be released at a later date.
Locals picked for All-MHC teams
The All-Mid Hoosier Conference Teams for the fall sports season were released earlier this week.
In volleyball, Hauser’s Adrianna Musillami, Kenze Bostic and Charlie Clark; Edinburgh’s Gracie Crawhorn and South Decatur’s Zsophia Sharp made the team.
In soccer, Hauser’s Elian Esclante, Lakota Robbins and Zach Weichman were selected.
In cross-country, Hauser’s Colin Kistler and Nolan Dailey and South Decatur’s Donovan Hale and Conner Newby made the boys team. Hauser’s Lucie Asher, Madison Hollman and Amanda Steward; South Decatur’s Clair Schoettmer are on the All-MHC squad.
In boys tennis, Hauser’s Levi Gollmer and Hunter Pappano and Edinburgh’s Max Blandford made the team.
In girls golf, Edinburgh’s Izzy Richardson, Macie Blandford, Jillian Turner and Gracie Meyer are among the selections.
Hauser’s Ben Finke was named the MHC Boys Cross-Country Coach of the Year.
