The local Reality Store giving Bartholomew County eighth graders an idea of the cost of various elements of day-to-day living will be in person again this year and is needing volunteers to assist. Organizers with the Bartholomew County Financial Literacy Coalition are asking prospective volunteers to sign up for a time and location at this website: https://uwbarthco.galaxydigital.com/need/detail/?need_id=736623.

The Nov. 2 store is at Central Middle School and Nov. 9 is at Northside Middle School.

Two hundred volunteers are needed to help with this event. Through this experience, youth have said that they better understand the importance of maintaining their grade-point average during high school and to plan for careers that will enable them to pay their own bills in the future.
