North rallies past Flashes
Columbus North trailed most of the game Tuesday before rallying for a 43-39 win against Franklin Central.
The Bull Dogs (4-2) trailed 18-10 after one quarter, 25-11 at halftime and 34-24 going into the final period. North outscored the Flashes 19-5 in the fourth quarter.
Lauren Barker scored 10 of her game-high 19 points in the fourth to lead the Bull Dogs. Miley McClellan added seven points.

Bull Dogs drop opener
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North led 36-33 going to the fourth quarter, but Heritage Christian rallied for a 49-44 season-opening win.
Cooper Horn led the Bull Dogs with 12 points. Luke Harmon scored 11, and Ty Ferguson added nine.
Lancers rout Spartans
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh jumped out to a 27-8 lead after one quarter and went on to open the season with a 73-38 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Caleb Dewey led the Lancers with 18 points. Connor Ramey scored 13, and Jarrett Turner added 10.
South Decatur tops Trinity
GREENSBURG — South Decatur posted a 65-40 win against Trinity Lutheran in the season opener for both teams.
Jacob Scruggs led South Decatur with 22 points. Colby Rathburn scored 15, and Dale Peters added 14.
Eli Ballard led Trinity with nine points.

Panthers edge Batesville
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County’s #2 varsity opened the season with a 39-36 win against Batesville.
Mason Sorrenson (132 pounds), Nick Cortes (152) and Chris Hernandez (170) all won by pin for the Panthers. James Hatton (120), Daniel Rodriguez (126) and Robert English (182) all won by forfeit. Xavior Gindhart (220) won by decision.
