The award is presented by the IHSAA that demonstrates great sportsmanship in a professional and respectful manner.

Referee Tim Coady wrote in the report, “This past Saturday, I officiated the Columbus North boys varsity at Seymour. I wanted to acknowledge the coach, staff and players for their outstanding sportsmanship. I have had Coach Ferguson a couple times in the past and he always asked questions in a professional/respectful manner and focuses his attention on coaching the kids. By far one of the best coaches to work for. The players exhibited great sportsmanship, polite/respectful conversation and handing the ball to the officials. I admire the coach how his plays, moreover, how his players and staff conduct themselves. It was a nice win for the team. Good luck the rest of season!”
