In the spirit of the season, Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. has released a holiday-themed video featuring Santa Claus, Buddy the Elf, and the King himself.
The king of rock and roll, that is.
On Wednesday, the school corp. released a video where communications coordinator Josh Burnett — dressed as the lead character of “Elf” — leads a Christmas Q&A with Elvis Presley (impersonated by Superintendent Jim Roberts) and Santa Claus (played by Fred Armstrong with Columbus Auto Group, which is an advertising partner with BCSC athletics).
The festive fun can be found on the school corp.’s YouTube channel.
Roberts, who has a love of music and often incorporates lyrics into graduation speeches, is well-known for portraying Elvis at the charity event Crooners For CASA. In this particular video, he sports a sequined jumpsuit and silk scarf, references lyrics from classics such as “Hound Dog”, and even warbles out a few bars of “Blue Christmas.”
BCSC schools are currently on winter break. Students will return to classes on Jan. 9.
