Bull Dogs open with win

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North opened its season Wednesday with a 104.425 to 91.3 win at Franklin Central.

Reese Euler won the vault (9.4), beam (9.125) and floor (9.275) and placed second on the bars (9.225) on the way to winning the all-around with a 37.625 to lead the Bull Dogs.

Lindsey Mullis won the bars (9.25) and finished second on the vault (8.95), beam (8.0) and floor (8.775) in taking second in the all-around (34.975). Laney Acton was third on the bars (8.025), fourth on the floor (8.275) and sixth on the vault (8.5) en route to third in the all-around (31.9).

Also for North, Hannah Perry tied for third on the vault (8.8). Arwan Tian took fifth on the bars (7.2) and beam (7.3), and Mariame Niang was fifth on the vault (8.5).

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh fell behind 22-6 at halftime and never recovered in a 44-18 loss to Speedway.

Gracie Crawhorn led the Lancers (6-11) with 11 points.
