Sunday is the day we return to Daylight Savings Time, which means local residents will “spring forward” and move their clocks an hour ahead tonight before turning in.

Daylight saving time is the practice of moving clocks an hour ahead during spring so that sunset falls at a later time in the evening.

This year’s “spring forward” is March 12, and you will get that hour back on Sunday, Nov. 5, when clocks go back an hour.
