Jacqueline “Jackie” Rae Coryea, 61, of Seymour passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 19, 1961, in Columbus, Indiana, the loving daughter of Jerald and Judith (Brickner) Horn. On July 15, 2016, she was united in marriage to Ralph Coryea and he survives.
In addition to her husband Ralph, Jackie is survived by her father, Jerald Horn of Columbus; her daughters, Crystal (Brandon Vincent) Floyd of Shepherdsville, KY, Amanda Brock of Seymour, and Lindy (Chris) Pearson of Nashville; nine grandchildren, Damian, Jacob, Crysta, Jordan, Kyle, Austin, Joey, Jaden and Lily; four great-grandchildren, Ares, Athena, Aurora, and Astrea. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Curtis Coryea of Seymour and Leah Helblig of Union Town; ten step grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Lee (Julie) Horn of Columbus; and one sister, Jill (Devin) East and her two Australian Sheperds Charlie and Glory.
Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Horn; and her stepdaughter, Brianne Fluhr.
Jackie was employed with Cummins where she worked at the fuel systems, CMEP, SEP and CEP engines for seventeen years. She graduated from North High School. She enjoyed camping with her dogs and friends and loved reading books, playing cards, and doing puzzles.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Voss and Son’s Funeral Home in Seymour with Bruce Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
