IUPUC baseball lost a pair of close games on Sunday, dropping two 3-1 decisions to Concordia (Michigan) at Jennings County High School.
Wyatt Sutton and Peyton Blinn each went 2 for 4, and Hauser graduate Trey Johnson had a double in the first game. Blake Nigg, the second of three Crimson Pride pitchers, took the loss.
Ben Fricke went 2 for 3 with a double in the second game. Columbus East graduate Alex McComb, the fourth of six pitchers took the loss for IUPUC (1-20).
On Saturday, the Crimson Pride fell to Concordia 9-1 and 10-2. Starter Jonathan Moreno took the loss in the opener, when IUPUC was held to two hits. Riley Mertl took the loss in the second game.
Meanwhile, the IUPUC softball team dropped a doubleheader 7-0 and 4-2 Saturday at St. Mary-of-the-Woods. Columbus North graduate Rachel Cowan had a hit, and Hauser graduate Katie Taylor had an RBI in the second game for the Crimson Pride (3-12).
