PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic — Tyler Duncan took the outright lead after a birdie on No. 12 Sunday, but then playing partner Matt Wallace birdied the next four holes while Duncan parred the last six, and Wallace captured the Corales Puntacana Championship.
Duncan closed with a 4-under-par 68 to finish at 17-under 271 for the tournament, good enough for a tie for third place, his best of the season. The Columbus North graduate had shot rounds of 71, 65 and 67 the first three days at Puntacana Resort and Club’s Corales Golf Course.
Wallace finished at 19-under 269 to win by one shot over Nicolai Hojaard and two over Duncan and Sam Stevens.
