Douglas Bradley Fisher, age 80, of Oak Ridge, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023. He was born in Linton, Indiana, the only child to Stanley &Betty Jane Fisher. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1960 and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Doug was employed at Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana, for 34 years as a commodity manager in purchasing. After retirement, he returned as a consultant for 2 years.

Doug was an avid Notre Dame football fan. His favorite hobby was taking his English yellow lab, Tucker, for long walks. He was an avid exerciser at the fitness center in his community. He liked to watch old westerns on TV and see movies at the theater. In his younger years, he loved to ride motorcycles and spent a lot of time boating and skiing on Grandview Lake, where he resided for 34 years.

Doug was preceded in death by parents; sister-in-law, Joan Weaver Beineke; brother-in-law, Jerry Weaver; and nephew, Ryan Prince. Survivors include loving wife of over 60 years, Jeanine Fisher; son, Bradley Fisher &wife, LuAnn; grandchildren, Samantha Fisher and Pastor Maxx Fisher &wife, Janie; brothers-in-law, Joe Weaver &wife, Ellen and Jim Weaver &wife, Diane; and sisters-in-law, Judy Prince and Wanda Weaver.

Per Doug’s wishes, he was cremated and will be placed with family in a columbarium at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana. A memorial service will be held at a future date at St. Ambrose Church in Seymour. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to help Parkinson’s Disease research, St. Ambrose Church, or guide dogs for the blind.
