| Donald L. McClintic Sr., 85, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the home of his daughter in Columbus.
Mr. McClintic was born May 26, 1937, in Hartsville, Indiana, the son of Thomas G. and Dona E. White McClintic. Donald retired from Golden Foundry after several years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and enjoyed golf, fishing and joking with people. Survivors include his children, Gayle (Jack) Wooden of Columbus, Kimberly (Brennon) Castillo of Florida, Ramona (Scott Kelsay) Moore of Columbus and Donald L. McClintic Jr. of Greendale; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara (Ron) Dycus of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Theresa Voeller McClintic; brothers, Charles and Noel McClintic; and sisters, Louise Long, Janice Griggs and Jean Walker. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jim Purlsey officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. to time of service. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Garland Brook Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
